Ningbo Pilot Free Trade Zone has become a hub free trade zone with "good global accessibility, excellent internal and external connectivity, strong resource allocation, and high degree of integration and innovation", and has become the benchmark of "hub free trade zone" in China.
Looking at the country, since the official inauguration of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone in 2013, the country has set up 21 Pilot Free Trade Zone (Pilot Free Trade Zone reached 67) and Hainan Free Trade Port, forming a pilot pattern covering the east, west, north and south.

Specifically, Ningbo will attack six major functional positioning, respectively, international port and logistics hub, global cross-border trade hub, intelligent manufacturing innovation hub, financial open service hub, system innovation integration highland and digital application demonstration highland.
To this end, the city proposed 20 key construction tasks, such as promoting international shipping system innovation, accelerating the construction of international maritime service base, attracting high-end port and shipping service industry clusters, promoting the construction of traffic channels and accelerating the construction of Ningbo West Hub, in order to enhance the level of international port and shipping logistics hub city; deepen the development of new international trade, deepen the construction of cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone, and strive for innovative offshore international trade center city, and Accelerate the construction of supply chain innovation and application demonstration city, to build a national important bulk commodity configuration center and accelerate the construction of digital energy trade platform, to enhance the global cross-border trade hub radiation; promote the popularization of new smart manufacturing model, enhance the manufacturing research and innovation capacity, the implementation of new industry cultivation project, to enhance the global competitiveness of intelligent manufacturing hub; improve the convenience of cross-border capital flow, promote the orderly expansion and opening of the financial industry In order to enhance the security power of the financial open service hub; promote the high-quality development of the demonstration zone of economic and trade cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries, accelerate the integration of high-level free trade agreements, in order to enhance the demonstration power of the national system innovation integration highland; explore the construction of data flow rules system, strengthen the digital reform and innovation empowerment, in order to enhance the innovation driving power of the digital application demonstration highland.
