Seam allowance treatment
When doing seam waterproofing, the first thing to do is to determine whether you need to do waterproofing, because not every seam line needs to be treated with seam glue, usually exposed to rain, puddles on the seam line only need seam glue, so rain cloth, ground cloth seam line is a must do waterproof, as for the inside of the tent, because it will not directly contact the rain, so do not be busy!
Next is to decide on which side to do the stitching glue treatment, usually in the raincloth and the inside of the ground cloth, correctly speaking should be in the other side of the waterproof membrane, that is, not to do waterproof membrane treatment of that side to use the stitching glue. The easiest way is to drop some water on the surface of the cloth, if it still keeps the shape of the water drops, there is a waterproof membrane covering the top, if the water will halo away, that side is your target.
Next, start to apply the stitching glue, prepare a clean and dry toothbrush, remove the old bristles, then apply the stitching glue to the stitching line, and when the stitching glue is dry, pull the fabric tightly so that the stitching line is stretched so that the stitching glue can penetrate in, and then wait for an hour, and when the stitching glue is completely dry, it's done!
